Online Microgaming Poker Pursuit

Poker Pursuit is a simple casino poker game developed by Microgaming. It is available at the download and instant play platforms of online casinos like All Slots and Royal Vegas. On top of the screen the payout table is displayed separately for wagers of 1, 2 and 3 coins. The large are in the centre is for the cards. The operating buttons and the other information are at the bottom of the screen. You begin by selecting the bet amount that can vary between 0.50 credits and 5.00 credits and automatically start with a wager of 1 coin.

When you click the Deal button, the flop consisting of three cards is dealt. In many casino poker games you have the option of folding after seeing the initial cards, but not in Microgaming Poker Pursuit. You can raise, in which case the bet will be increased to 2 coins. Or you can call, in which you continue playing with the same stake. Then the turn card is dealt, which is the fourth card of your poker hand. Again you have the same two options. So before the river card you may have a bet of 1, 2 or 3 coins. If you call both times your bet remains at 1 coin. If you call once and raise once, in any order, then your bet is 2 coins. If you raise both times then then you end up with 3 coins. Finally the river card is dealt and your poker hand is complete.

If you do not have a hand ranked at tens or better or higher then you lose the total bet amount. To check the amount you have won, you first locate your final hand ranking in the payout table and then move across to the number of coins wagered. The payout in coins per coin wagered for the different poker hands are as follows: tens or better – 2, two pairs – 3, three of a kind – 4, straight – 6, flush – 9, full house – 12, four of a kind – 50, straight flush – 200 and royal flush 1000.

You need to adopt a conservative strategy while playing Microgaming Poker Pursuit. It goes without saying that you should raise on every opportunity when you already have a winning hand. Other than this, raise on the flop only if you have cards to a straight flush or royal flush. You can be a bit more liberal after the turn because only one more card is needed. You can also raise on four cards to a flush or open-ended straight.
